Move Tool

Activate the panning or movement of the canvas

Move Tool action on use on the Weave.js showcase

Introduction

This action allows users enable/disable the panning of Stage canvas.

Dependencies

This action needs registered on the Weave instance the following element:

Usage

Import the Action

Start by importing the action:

import { WeaveMoveToolAction } from "@inditextech/weave-sdk";

Register the Action

Then register the action on the Weave class instance.

Setup the action trigger

Setup on a button or any element on the UI the user can interact with on the action event:

instance.triggerAction("moveTool");

For example on a button on React:

Trigger the action

Finally a final user trigger the UI element that launches the action.

When enabled the user can:

  • Via the mouse, pan while maintain pressed the main button and moving the mouse.

  • Via touch, on touch-support devices, pan while touch-drag.

  • Via the mouse + keyboard, by maintaining the Space key pressed and moving the mouse.

If the user device, posses a touchpad device (i.e. Mac laptops), use the two-finger swipe gesture to pan without the need to enable the action.
