Docouture

v1.3.0

This release removes check-links. Existing sites are cleaned up by running docouture upgrade.

This release, like earlier ones, resolves the vulnerable handlebars 4.7.9 for existing lockfiles. Go straight to v1.3.1.

Do this

  1. Run docouture upgrade, review the diff, and commit .github/workflows/ and docs/package.json. See CLI.

  2. Run your package manager’s install (for example pnpm install) to refresh the lockfile, which no longer contains linkinator.

  3. If you call <pm> run check-links from your own workflow or script, remove that call: upgrade warns about workflows that still mention it.

What changed

  • Breaking: check-links is removed. The Check links step is gone from docouture-pr-verify.yml, docouture-release.yml and docouture-publish.yml, and a scaffolded site no longer has scripts/check-links.mjs, the check-links script, the linkinator devDependency or docouture.checkLinks.

  • Why. The check depended on external hosts, failed releases on healthy links, and could never pass on the first publish of a version once site.url was set.

  • What still protects you. Antora’s strict build still fails on a broken xref: or a missing include.
